Saturday 30th September2023 I attended Haughton Hall for Afternoon Tea.

It is very high class service.  Haughton Hall which is meant to be high class venue, with high ceilings and modern room and very cold for fine dining.  

There is NO dress code 

Haughton Hall is an early 18th-century country house situated at Haughton Lane, Shifnal, Shropshire, England now converted for use as a hotel. It is a Grade II* listed building. The de Haughton family owned land at Haughton under the Lord of the Manor of Shifnal as early as 1185.

Now a firm favourite, Traditional Afternoon Tea fills a gap in the afternoon for a spot of pampering and relaxation
with great food and service in an amazing setting.

Served daily from 1 – 4.00pm with chef’s selection of sandwich fillings per person in a freshly made sandwich, plain scones, cakes and fancies plus your choice of Speciality Tea’s or Coffee. Our Deluxe Afternoon Tea also includes our chocolate dip with fruit and marshmallows and offers even better value and a wider selection!

Afternoon Tea at Ansty Hall

  Dedicated readers, One of the upcoming High class social event is Afternoon Tea at  Ansty Hall. Over time the Estates of land in Ansty were donated to the Dean and Canons of Windsor, with the Manor House eventually coming into the ownership of Richard Tayler around 1659. Tayler, like the majority of Warwickshire had been on the Parliamentarian side in the English Civil War. The old Manor House which had been the Tayler family home was pulled down in 1678 and the present Ansty Hall was built by Richards son Edward. The Tayler family descendants the Woollcombe Adams, later the Stopford Adams family continued to live in Ansty Hall until the 1980s Whatever the weather, you’ll enjoy the full Afternoon Tea experience, with delicious treats layered onto a tiered cake stand.
